Program Manager:

As the Program Manager it is my role is to ensure we have the right staff to provide high quality services and that service delivery is seamless and compassionate. My responsibilities include managing the Instructor Therapists, our placement students and dedicated volunteers, along with maintaining and updating our staff policies and procedures. I also have the privilege of connecting with external partners and community agencies.

Laura Dignard

Laura Dignard, MADS, BCBA is the Program Manager,as well as a Clinical Supervisor & Senior Therapist at AlphaBee. Laura has a Masters Degree in Applied Disability Studies with a Specialization in ABA from Brock University and is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst. Laura is currently working towards certification in the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM). Laura has worked extensively with individuals with Developmental Exceptionalities and Autism, utilizing the principles of ABA with a particular focus on Verbal Behaviour. She has extensive experience with the assessment, development, and implementation of behaviour reduction and skill building programs resulting in the development of functional skills and a better quality of life for her clients. Laura has presented at ABA and Special Education conferences. In addition, Laura has developed training workshops for parents, therapists, and community members.

Operations Manager:

In my position as the Operation Manager it is my responsibility to oversee AlphaBee’s operations to ensure efficiency and productivity. I work closely with our scheduling team & our Family Services Coordinator to support our waitlist management and to facilitate service provision in a timely and considered manner to all of our clients and their families.

Shikha Rajput

Shikha Rajput, BA, BCaBA is the Operations Manager and a Senior Therapist at AlphaBee Centre. Shikha completed her Psychology Degree from McMaster University and is passionate about fostering a positive environment for learning. Her career has always focused on working closely with clients and their families both 1:1 and in the broader community. She is passionate about fostering a positive environment, and her primary goal is always to form a productive, sustainable and manageable environment, while also focusing on reducing unwanted behaviours. During her career at AlphaBee she has demonstrated this commitment time and again, first as an Instructor Therapist, developing a reputation for excellence and compassion.

Intake Coordinator:

My primary role as the intake coordinator is to be the first point of contact for families and other individuals looking for service. I am committed to ensuring our clients receive the most accurate and helpful information. I enjoy guiding families through the process of finding and setting up services and to ensure that the service being received is the right fit. My responsibilities include conducting intakes for all services, coordinating with scheduling and responding to parent questions and concerns.

Stella Panagakos

Stella Panagakos is the Family Services Coordinator & Intake Coordinator at AlphaBee. She has over 37 years of experience working in the field of Autism and Special Education with both children and adults on the spectrum in 1-1 and group settings. Over her many years in the Social Services field, Stella has worked as an ABA Therapist/Consultant, providing consultation and support to individuals with ASD and implemented effective ABA approaches. She was an Instructor Therapist, Classroom Coordinator and School Based Manager in classroom settings for children with ASD, which offered specialized services and community supports to children, youth and families with complex mental health, behavioral, or developmental challenges. As a Clinical Case Coordinator, Intake & Clinical Support Coordinator, she provided information and referrals to parents and facilitated their access to community resources. She was involved in organizing, participating and leading social skills groups, sibling groups and parent trainings. She is committed to professional development and has attended ABA workshops and conferences. She is also registered and in good standing with the College of ECE.

Clinical Lead:

As the clinical lead I am responsible for the overall clinical direction and for ensuring AlphaBee is using up to date evidence based practices.
I collaborate with and guide our senior team to continually advance our clinical knowledge and skills, maintaining our standing as one of the leading providers of ABA and IBI services.

Pam Lawrynowycz

Pam Lawrynowycz is the Clinical Lead and a Clinical Supervisor at AlphaBee Centre. She has a Master of Arts in Psychology and is a Board Certified behaviour Analyst, with extensive training in ABA and Verbal Behaviour, as well as being certified in the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM). Pam has worked within the Intensive Behavioral Intervention program with children with Autism for 20 years. Pam has extensive experience providing behaviour and curriculum assessments, staff/parent training, as well as consultation and developing behaviour programs. She believes all children have the potential to develop skills beyond their current level, with a particular focus on increasing language skills. Pam is a motivated professional dedicated to bettering the lives of children with special needs.

Instructor Therapists (IT):

Our IT’s have a university or college degree or diploma in psychology, behaviour science, or related field.
All IT’s receive ongoing training in the principles of ABA and effective teaching strategies. In addition, the IT’s attend regular clinical team meetings where they participate and lead discussions relating to ongoing professional development and client case reviews.

Senior Therapists (ST):

The Senior Therapists complete behavioural and curriculum assessments which are then used to develop individualized programming to meet the needs of the child. Our STs also provide ongoing evaluation and training for the Instructor Therapists.
All of our STs are a BCBA/BCaBA or are working towards their certification and have extensive IBI experience.

Nicola MacDonald

Nicola MacDonald, MADS, BCBA is a Senior Therapist at AlphaBee. She has completed her Masters Degree in Applied Disability Studies with a Specialization in Applied Behaviour Analysis from Brock University. In addition, Nicola is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst. Nicola has worked with individuals with Autism for many years in a variety of settings including therapeutic, recreational, social, and educational. Through her vast work experience, education, and attendance to various workshops/conferences Nicola has acquired the knowledge to be an excellent clinician in the field.

Bradey Kankowski

Bradey Kankowski, BA, BST, is a Senior Therapist at AlphaBee. After graduating from York University with a bachelor’s in psychology and sociology, Bradey obtained a graduate certificate in Autism and Behavioural Sciences from Mohawk College. She is BCaBA certified and is working towards certification in the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM). Having worked with children and youth with Autism for many years in both therapeutic and recreational settings, her special interests in professional development include Verbal Behaviour and play based therapies, such as the Early Start Denver Model for early learners. Bradey has also worked extensively with more advanced learners with a focus on social skills and school readiness.

Crystal Ferrier

Crystal Ferrier, BA, BST, is a Senior Therapist at AlphaBee. After graduating from York University with a BA in Sociology, Crystal obtained a graduate certificate in Autism and Behavioural Science from Seneca College. Crystal has experience in Applied Behaviour Analysis and Intensive Behavioural Intervention across various settings and including a broad range of youth. Crystal is especially known for her fun and creative approach to teaching. She finds passion in assisting in the functional development of each unique child. Crystal’s career motto is “If they can’t learn the way we teach, we teach the way they learn” -Lovaas

Nona Davis

Nona Davis, MT is a Senior Therapist at AlphaBee. After graduating from York University with a BSc. in Psychology and a BA in Sociology, Nona went on to completing a postgraduate program in Autism and Behavioural Science at George Brown College. She furthered her education and completed a Masters Degree in Teaching at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto and is working towards her BCBA certification. She started with the company as an Instructor Therapist and has accumulated over 9 years of experience in Applied Behaviour Analysis. Nona has provided direct client care in 1:1 and group settings for children and youths with autism spectrum disorder using intensive behavioural intervention and natural environment teaching. Her interests include early intervention and increasing communication skills with a focus on Verbal Behaviour. Nona enjoys helping individuals develop the skills needed to successfully reach their fullest potential and encourages independence to help build one’s self-esteem.

Ketsara Vatanyootaweewat

Ketsara Vatanyootaweewat, MPEd, BCBA, is a Senior Therapist at Alphabee Centre. She has completed a Master’s Degree in Professional Education with a specialization in Applied Behaviour Analysis at Western University and is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst. Ketsara has worked with children, youth, and adults with varied developmental disabilities across a number of different settings including IBI, community based, and group home settings. Ketsara’s areas of interest and continuing learning include verbal behaviour, joint control, and extending her knowledge to better support advanced learners.

Sonia Stellato

Sonia Stellato, MADS, is a Senior Therapist at AlphaBee. She has completed a master’s Degree in applied Disability Studies with a specialization in ABA at Brock University and is currently working towards her BCBA certification. Sonia has experience working with children, youth and adults both with developmental disabilities, as well as dual diagnosis. She had worked in IBI, small ABA groups and group home settings and has a specific training in Precision Teaching and fluency-based learning. Sonia is also interested in teaching through Skinner’s analysis of verbal behaviour and expanding her knowledge whenever possible by attending conferences and seeking continued training. Sonia is passionate about increasing independence and promoting a stimulating learning environment for all of her learners.

Dana Pettus

Dana Pettus, MADS, is a part-time Senior Therapist at AlphaBee. She has a Masters in Applied Disability Studies with a specialization in Applied Behaviour Analysis from Brock University. She has worked with children and teens on the Autism Spectrum in home, centre and community based settings. Through attending conferences and online webinars she continues to increase her skills in Verbal Behaviour and the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM). Dana is passionate about working collaboratively with families, therapists and other professionals to set up her clients for success in all environments.

Kristin Bain

Kristin Bain, BA, BST is a part time Senior Therapist at AlphaBee. She is currently pursuing a Master of Applied Disability Studies, specializing in Applied Behaviour Analysis at Brock University, as well as working towards her BCBA Certification. Kristin has experience providing ABA based services for children and youth with developmental disabilities as well as coaching for parents and other professionals. Kristin strongly supports a balanced therapy session composed of both structured teaching, as well as natural environment teaching to achieve optimal learning outcomes. She is known for her enthusiastic teaching style and analysis of challenging behaviour. Kristin is passionate about teaching language with a Verbal behaviour approach, reducing challenging behaviours, increasing independence and expanding her knowledge through professional development whenever possible.

Menna Mahrous

Menna Mahrous, MA, BCBA is a Senior Therapist at AlphaBee. Menna has completed her Masters Degree in Psychology from The Chicago School of Psychology. She has been working with children with a wide range of developmental delays and Autism using an ABA approach for all programing with an emphasis on Verbal Behavior. She has worked with children in schools and daycares to help integrate ABA in the child’s natural environment and has worked intensively with parents on training and the development of behavioural protocols in the home. Programs also focus on appropriate skills for each child’s specific needs and functional skills which will improve overall quality of life.

Shabina Bari

Shabina Bari, MSc Psych is a Senior Therapist at AlphaBee Centre. She has completed her Masters Degree is Psychology with a specialization in Applied Behaviour Analysis and is currently working toward her BCBA certification. Shabina has been working with children with Autism for over ten years and is very passionate about promoting independence in every aspect of life. She believes that it is important that children learn at their own pace and that “Slow and steady wins the race.”

Clinical Supervisors (CS):

The clinical supervisor is responsible for the direction of all programming, and for providing ongoing training and evaluation for Senior Therapists
Our clinical supervisors are all Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), with extensive training and experience overseeing ABA and IBI services.

Lisa Kota

Lisa Kota, MADS, BCBA is a Clinical Supervisor and Senior Therapist at AlphaBee. She has completed her Masters Degree in Applied Disability Studies with a specialization in Applied Behaviour Analysis from Brock University and is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst. Lisa is also a certified Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) therapist, effective at teaching language and social engagement during play activities. Lisa’s career in ABA has spanned implementing IBI with a Discrete Trial Teaching (DTT) approach, teaching with a Verbal Behaviour approach, teaching with ESDM, to increasing generalization using the EBIC (degli Espinosa, 2011), to advanced social skills curricula. Lisa has a special interest in parent training as well as the development of specialized learning materials to facilitate learning. She is passionate about helping children and their families.

Mandy Cooke

Mandy Cooke, MADS, BCBA, is a Senior Therapist and Clinical Supervisor at AlphaBee. She has completed a Masters Degree in Applied Disability Studies with a specialization in Applied Behaviour Analysis at Brock University and is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst. Mandy has also obtained a certification of completion in Interdisciplinary Studies in Global Health and Disability at Queen’s University’s international study centre in England, UK. Mandy has worked with children and youth with various developmental disabilities in a wide range of capacities, including therapeutic and recreational settings. Mandy’s special interests in professional development include mediator training, verbal behaviour, and ethics. Mandy enjoys providing supervision to those looking to pursue a career in ABA, including supervisees accruing the hours required to become board certified. Mandy is currently working towards the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) certification, which emphasizes early learning through play with young children with autism.

Through the creation of AlphaBee and over the last 10 years she put together a strong and caring clinically advanced team who has enabled thousands of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other needs to learn and make progress.
