Early Start Denver Model (ESDM)

As one of the first service providers in the GTA to offer the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), we continue to train staff and expand our services in this exciting ABA model of service.

ESDM is a model of learning that is relationship based, and focuses on social and communication taught through play. Early joint attending and social reciprocation skills are building blocks that establish learning readiness for children who can then transition into traditional IBI & ABA programming. This is a significant area of need for early learners.

  • ABA based model of learning designed specifically for children 1.5 to 4 years old
  • Model of learning that is a relationship based intervention, and children are encourage to initiate interactions by following their lead and interests
  • Attention on social reciprocation and shared initiation of social engagement
  • Play based therapy that covers 8 learning domains
  • Comprehensive curriculum that is developmentally sequenced
  • Parental involvement is strongly encouraged in the therapeutic process
