Behavioural Consulting

AlphaBee offers specialized behavioural consulting services designed to support caregivers, educational teams, and other external professionals who interact with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Our approach emphasizes collaboration, wherever possible with multi-disciplinary teams, and tailored strategies for the best possible learning and experience of the child/teen and their families.

Behavioural Consulting Services Overview

Initial Consultation

  • Clinical Intake and Assessment: Intake assessment involving caregivers and relevant external professionals.
  • Observation Sessions: The consultant will observe the child in various settings over 1-3 sessions, lasting approximately 2 hours each.
  • Assessment Tools: Use of clinical intake forms, open-ended interviews, and possibly functional assessments to identify needs and strengths.

Reporting and Recommendations

  • Following the assessment, a detailed summary report will be provided, outlining findings and actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborative review with caregivers, educational teams, and external professionals to ensure clarity and understanding.

Ongoing Support

  • Based on the initial recommendations, ongoing consultation can be arranged (weekly, biweekly, or monthly).
  • This includes both direct support (working with the child/caregivers/community) and indirect activities (program development, data analysis).
  • Additional online trainings can be found on alphabeePRO, a training division of AlphaBee that provides comprehensive learning opportunities to professionals, caregivers and the community at large.

  • Costs:
    • Centre-Based: $120 per hour
    • Home-Based/Other Locations: $140 per hour
    • Online: $120 per hour
