In short
Take this to any ABA provider you are starting with, including us. Tick off what applies to your child and bring your questions.
One page. You do not need every item. The first sessions are about getting to know your child, so there is no skill they need to show on day one.
What’s on the checklist?
- Confirm before day one: where sessions happen, arrival time, your weekly schedule, paperwork and who to call if your child is sick or running late.
- What to bring: snacks, personal-care supplies, a comfort item, communication tools and any reports you haven’t shared yet.
- Tell the team: allergies and medical needs, how your child communicates, what they love, what helps them feel calm and the goals that matter to your family.
- Questions to ask: who will work with your child, when the first report is ready and how progress is shared.
- Notes: space for your own questions.
General information only. Every provider’s process is a little different, so check details with your own team.
