Clinical Supervisors assess each child, write their program, and lead the Instructor Therapists who deliver it. You also work closely with families, schools and other agencies to keep everyone pulling in the same direction.
What the job involves
- Supervising Instructor Therapists, and monitoring and evaluating their work
- Running skills assessments and functional behaviour assessments, using tools such as the VB-MAPP, EBIC, AFLS, EFL and ESDM
- Leading intake and treatment planning
- Building each child's program from the assessment and from what parents and Instructor Therapists tell you
- Writing, running and overseeing plans for interfering behaviours
- Training staff and coaching parents
- Meeting families regularly to review progress
- Acting as the clinical contact with schools and community agencies when parents ask
- Preparing materials, reports and progress notes, plus administrative and management work
A good fit if you
- Know Verbal Behaviour and Skill-Based Treatment (SBT) well
- Have led and managed a clinical team
- Take initiative and like to lead
- Enjoy working with children and are creative in how you teach
- Want a team where progress is the goal and commitment is rewarded
What you need
- Education
- Master's degree in ABA
- Registration
- Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA) in Ontario
- Experience
- At least 10 years working with children and youth with autism
- Leadership
- At least 2 years of supervision and program management
- Working with others
- Experience collaborating with caregivers and other professionals
- Travel
- Driver's licence and a vehicle during work hours
- Checks
- Current vulnerable sector screening
