A Supervised Therapist is a behaviour analyst working towards, or already holding, RBA registration. You train Instructor Therapists, assess children and build their programs, with a Registered Behaviour Analyst supervising your practice.
What the job involves
- Working under the supervision of Registered Behaviour Analysts (RBAs)
- Training and evaluating Instructor Therapists
- Running skills and functional assessments, such as the VB-MAPP and ESDM, with RBA guidance
- Helping with intake and treatment planning
- Building individual programs with RBA input
- Running and monitoring plans for interfering behaviours
- Training staff and coaching parents
- Meeting families to review progress
- Working with schools and community agencies as needed
- Creating teaching materials, progress notes and reports, plus scheduling and data entry

What you need
- Education
- Master's degree in ABA
- Registration
- Qualified to begin supervised practice under CPBAO guidelines, or already an RBA in Ontario
- Experience
- At least 5 years working with children and youth with autism
- Skills
- Staff training and program management, Verbal Behaviour and SBT
- Working with others
- Experience collaborating with caregivers and other professionals
- Travel
- Driver's licence and a vehicle during work hours
- Checks
- Current vulnerable sector screening
